Medical Coverage of Sporting Events
Action Sport Physio is the official sports medicine clinic of prominent international events
such as the
Mont-Tremblant Ironman events, the
Montreal International Triathlon, the
Jackalope Action Sports Festival and the
Montreal Marathon.
We are proud to have provided medical care at the
Half-Ironman and the
5150 Triathlon, which took place from June 23rd to 25th. We will also be at the full
Ironman, from August 17th to 21st.
Recently, we were at the Montreal International Triathlon, not only as a medical care provider, but also as a participant. Three teams of ASP employees and family members took part in the event's corporate challenge and did pretty well! Congratulations to them, as well as to the triathletes from our network who competed in the triathlon!

His goal: to be selected to represent the Canadian team at the Olympics in Rugby 7.
ASP Laval
Did you know that training visual reflexes can prevent injuries and even concussions? The
ASP Laval clinic's
Sports Vision Training service provided by NeuroVision offers training camps for all. Come see us to accelerate your reflexes at the clinic or in the field (teams only)!
ASP St-Bruno
Dr. Kim Aubin, an orthopedist, and
Dr. Natalia Smirnova, a general practitioner, have recently joined the team of our
St-Bruno clinic. Do you suffer from a musculoskeletal injury and your condition requires a medical consultation? These two doctors can be seen at the clinic. They offer consultations on a regular basis. Simply contact us at (450) 441-1451 for details and conditions.
Our team would like to welcome two new collaborators: kinesiologist
Eve Morency and acupuncturist
Caroline Laurin. In their own way, they will both contribute to your well-being.
We are proud to say that
Danièle Speary, a massage therapist and a member of our team, was part of the Canada Games' main medical team in Winnipeg, which took place from July 28 to August 13.
Danièle teaches Swedish massage, sports massage and, as a sports first responder, she has had the chance to be involved in several sporting events and work with high-level athletes. Danièle is a member of the Canadian Sport Massage Therapists Association (CSMTA), an association for which she is also the secretary and representative of the Quebec chapter. Congratulations, Danièle!
ASP Repentigny
Our
Repentigny clinic has a partnership with La Débarque Escalade, an indoor climbing center. Clients (members) of La Débarque benefit from a preferential rate on their evaluation in physiotherapy. In addition, the owners of the center will give a training to the clinic's physiotherapists on frequent climbing injuries and the vocabulary used in climbing to allow them to treat climbers effectively.
Occupational therapist
Marie-Pier Lynch Pérusse put together a work station analysis project to meet workers in the workplace and inform them about the importance of postural hygiene at work and the benefits of occupational therapy.
Experts from the clinic took part in a corporate health promotion day. Massage therapist
Chantal Desrosiers, physiotherapist
Hugues Fontaine and public relations representative
Laurence Lebel-Alexandre had the opportunity to meet with the 400 employees attending the event and promote the clinic.
