News from our Network

Montreal Marathon

Last weekend, we were at the Montreal Marathon to greet the participants at the finish line and offer them free care. Whether a runner needed some ice, a treatment, a massage, a stretch or some advice, we were happy to be there for them.

We are proud to be a part of inspiring sporting events such as this one. Congratulations to all the athletes and we look forward to seeing you next year!

Did you run in the Montreal Marathon? If so, receive a preferential rate for a physiotherapy evaluation at your ASP clinic upon providing proof of registration.

ASP Saint-Hyacinthe

Physical rehabilitation therapist Yann Lapointe is back on the air at BOOM FM 106.5!

At the end of the afternoon on every second Wednesday, the co-owner of the ASP Saint-Hyacinthe and ASP Mont-Saint-Hilaire clinics talks about a variety of health-related topics during his Santé et mieux-être segment.

You can listen to his two latest segments here (in French):

Le bon sac à dos, bien ajusté

L'entorse de la cheville

You can also listen to last season's segments here (in French).

ASP Repentigny

Events

This year, the ASPirants annual run will take place in Repentigny on October 13th.

This will be the event’s 7th edition, and it gives the public an opportunity to come run or walk. Many members of the ASP Repentigny clinic will be there. In addition, all the proceeds raised will be donated to Regard en elle, which provides assistance and shelter to women who are victims of spousal abuse.

If you'd like to join us, visit the ASPirants' website for details. You will be given a choice to choose among several running and walking distances, and the event is as much for seasoned runners as for the whole family. You have until Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 at midnight to register.

Physiotherapist and clinic owner Jean-François Mathieu, who was recently in Lima with the Canadian gymnastics team for the XVIII Pan American Games, is already preparing his next trip. This time, he will be heading to the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Germany, from October 4th to 13th. We wish him a terrific stay!

Hugues Fontaine and Sophie Moisan were at the Collège L'Assomption's Open House on September 8th. They were there to inform prospective parents about the physiotherapy service offered directly at the school for students and staff.

Bravo!

Congratulations to Kathia Tourville, who earned her certification in athletic therapy. Katia has been with us for a year and a half, and she is now ready to take on new challenges, notably with Collège L'Assomption, where she will attend football and hockey games to provide medical coverage for the athletes.

Welcome!

We would like to welcome physical rehabilitation therapist Alexandra Melanson and public relations and patient services manager Sophie Moisan. We are very happy that you are a part of Action Sport Physio's big family.
